Lebanese comfort food is landing on Sheikh Zayed Road. Bayroot Deli opens its doors on September 12, bringing a modern spin on the classic Lebanese deli to the city.
Set inside Aspin Commercial Tower, the two-floor, 56-seat space is built to flex — quick lunch, leisurely dinner or late-night craving, all covered. With doors open from 11am to 6am daily, it’s shaping up to be a go-to for anyone hungry after hours.
The menu leans hearty and varied: charcoal-grilled and flame-cooked meats, mezze, sandwiches, bowls, salads and shawarma carved fresh off the spit. Everything’s cooked over real fire and charcoal, staying true to traditional methods.
Bayroot Deli isn’t trying to reinvent Lebanese food — it’s doubling down on doing the classics right, with quality ingredients and homemade touches. The olive oil, thyme and sumac all come straight from the founder’s family farms in Lebanon, keeping the flavors rooted in home.
Standout dishes to try include Mlukhiyeh Bil Zeit — sautéed mlukhiyeh with lemon and garlic, topped with caramelized onions — and the Flame Bowls, loaded with fire-cooked meats, grains, vegetables, pickles and house-made sauces. Save room for Moufata’a Beirutiya, a traditional Old Beirut dessert of toasted flour, butter, spices and nuts, finished with honey and roasted seeds.
A Family Affair
Behind Bayroot Deli are founder Fadi Almahaini and his mother, Hoda Altaki. Fadi’s food journey started early — at 12, he was already working at his family’s manakish bakery in Beirut. From there, he studied hospitality and spent years gaining experience across restaurants and hotels in Lebanon.
Now, mother and son are bringing those family recipes and Lebanese traditions to Dubai, with a deli setup built for dine-in, takeaway and delivery alike.
