“From Pokémon and One Piece tournaments to retro gaming, cosplay and young entrepreneurs, Come Play! has something for everyone”

Weekend plans, sorted. Dubai families, gamers, collectors and curious first-timers can swap the usual routine for trading card battles, retro arcade games, cosplay, creative discoveries and plenty of chances to join the action as Speedy Comics Presents: Come Play! arrives at Times Square Center on 10 and 11 October.

Running from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on both days, Speedy Comics, Come Play! brings that community spirit into a bigger family setting, making niche hobbies feel accessible to newcomers while giving dedicated fans room to play, trade, learn and connect. The free-entry event encourages visitors to join the action rather than simply watch. Families can discover a new game together, experienced players can test their skills in a tournament, young entrepreneurs can proudly showcase their ideas, while pop-culture fans browse collectables, meet local creators and step into the spotlight in one of the weekend’s competitions.

Choose Your Way and Come Play!

    • Pick up the cards: Join organised tournaments, settle in for casual community play, or try a beginner-friendly Learn-to-Play session featuring Pokémon, One Piece, Riftbound and other supported games. Collectors can also explore trading, preservation, and on-site card grading by HIT Grading.
    • Press start: Dip into free-to-play retro-style arcade and video games, small-scale digital challenges, trivia and easy-going games made for casual family participation.
    • Meet the makers: Browse TCG and collectables vendors, pop-culture retailers, artists, illustrators and handmade creators, with plenty of opportunities to discover something new and support local talent.
    • Support the young-preneurs: The BIZ KIDZ area gives young entrepreneurs aged 5 to 16 their own platform to present handmade products, art, crafts, collectables and youth-led businesses.
    • Step into the spotlight: Expect cosplay and dance competitions, character presentations, audience games and selected prizes and giveaways across the weekend.

For Times Square Center, the event is another lively expression of its community-first approach. By creating space for shared family experiences, homegrown talent, independent businesses and youth-led ideas, the centre continues to show how a mall can become more than a place to shop – it can be where new interests begin, families make memories and communities find one another.

    Speedy Comics: Come Play!

Time: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on both days
