Dubai, UAE – February 8, 2026: The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships start in seven days. The city prepares for two weeks of professional tennis at the venue in Al Garhoud. The event features Grand Slam champions and family activities. Here are seven highlights of the Championships.
- See new Australian Open champion Elena Rybakina return home
Elena Rybakina, who won the Australian Open last week, returns to Dubai where she now lives. She is one of the main players at this year’s Championships. - Explore the side courts to get even closer to the action
Centre Court hosts ticketed matches from early morning until late evening. Side courts also host competitive matches and are free to access via registration. In recent years, Courts 1 and 2 have featured players like World No5 Coco Gauff and 2021 Australian Open semi-finalist Aslan Karatsev, plus Doubles stars including Indian legends Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza. Food and beverage options are available around the site.
- Watch the world’s top 20 women compete on your doorstep
WTA week runs from 15-21 February. The 1000 event brings together one of the strongest women’s fields of the year. All the world’s top 20 players are confirmed to compete. The field includes World No1 Aryna Sabalenka, six-time Grand Slam winner Iga Świątek, top American pair Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula, two-time Dubai champion Elina Svitolina and others. The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium sits next to GGICO Metro Station.
- Grab a selfie with the stars – and Ace and Annette
The tournament brings fans close to the action. During WTA and ATP weeks, spectators can interact with players, often spotting them along the players walkway after matches for photos or autographs. The tournament mascots, Ace and Annette, appear throughout the event.
- Catch the biggest ATP names on court
The ATP 500 men’s week follows the women’s final and runs until 28 February. The line-up is led by defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas. This year’s field includes three other former winners: Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev and Ugo Humbert. Canadian World No8 Félix Auger-Aliassime, last year’s finalist, is the top seed.
- Watch Jack Draper make his Dubai debut
Britain’s top-ranked male player Jack Draper will compete in Dubai for the first time. The 2024 US Open semi-finalist was scheduled to play in Dubai last year but withdrew due to injury. He has confirmed his participation in the 2026 Championships.
- Expanded Tennis Village provides fun for all the family
The Tennis Village has expanded for the two-week Championships with on-site games and competitions. The Dubai Duty Free shop sells tennis memorabilia and souvenirs. Tournament organisers Dubai Duty Free have partnered with sponsors including Mercedes-Benz and Evian to provide games, prizes and photo opportunities. The on-court Catch and Win challenge gives fans the chance to catch a ball in the crowd and exchange it for a gift from the shop.
