Dubai’s restaurants mark the Chinese New Year with festive menus and cultural celebrations, from MICHELIN-starred dining to family-friendly venues
Dubai invites residents and visitors to celebrate the Year of the Horse through dining experiences across the city this Chinese New Year.
Restaurants and hotels across Dubai are marking the occasion with curated menus, cultural entertainment and celebratory experiences. The offerings span fine dining, contemporary Asian cuisine and relaxed family settings, honouring tradition while welcoming the year ahead.
ATLANTIS: A DESTINATION FOR FESTIVE DINING

Atlantis, The Palm becomes a focal point for Chinese New Year dining, offering a range of experiences designed to suit every occasion. MICHELIN-starred Hakkasan presents its signature set menu from 16 February to 3 March, priced at AED 738 per person for a minimum of two guests. The menu showcases modern Cantonese cuisine at its finest, complimented by signature beverages, festive desserts, and a wishing wall where guests can write their hopes for the year ahead.
For those seeking a social dining experience that extends into the evening, Ling Ling at Atlantis The Royal offers premium festive specials from 17 February to 3 March. The experience pairs a refined à la carte offering with an innovative bar lounge token concept, where guests can purchase four gold tokens for AED 100, with each token redeemable for a curated menu item.
Families are invited to gather at Saffron for an international dinner buffet featuring vibrant South-East Asian flavours from 16 to 18 February. The experience is priced at AED 295 for adults, and AED 150 for children aged 4 to 13, with complimentary dining for ages 0 to 3.
JUMEIRAH BURJ AL ARAB: CULINARY EXCELLENCE

From 16 to 23 February, Jumeirah Burj Al Arab’s world-class dining destinations present specially curated Chinese New Year experiences at every turn. Skyview Bar introduces Chinese-inspired desserts, while Al Iwan features a Chinese buffet corner with classics such as Peking Duck, noodles, fried rice, and baos.
Sahn Eddar and the Pastry Boutique showcase themed Chinese desserts, and Bab Al Yam integrates Chinese dishes into its international buffet offering. Fortune cookies and mooncakes add a final festive touch, capturing the flavours and symbolism of the season.
MEKONG: A JOURNEY THROUGH CHINESE TRADITIONS

At Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, Mekong celebrates Chinese New Year from 13 to 22 February with an indulgent set menu showcasing both Chinese and Vietnamese cuisines. Available daily from 6pm to 11pm, the set menu features signature dishes curated to honour tradition while delighting modern palates. Live entertainment brings festive energy and cultural flair to the experience, set within Mekong’s distinctive, rickshaw-style setting.
SHANG PALACE: MICHELIN-RECOMMENDED EXCELLENCE

Shangri-La Dubai’s MICHELIN-recommended Shang Palace presents a carefully curated programme of Chinese New Year dining experiences. The Chinese New Year Dining Experience, available from 16 to 20 February and starting from AED 398 per person, brings together classic Lunar New Year delicacies. Highlights include delicately prepared seafood symbolising abundance, premium cuts representing strength and success, and comforting, slow-cooked specialties associated with family unity and longevity. Traditional festive desserts usher in sweetness and good fortune for the year ahead. The Chinese New Year Weekend Brunch from 14 to 22 February, starting from AED 298 per person, features handcrafted dim sum, wok-fried classics, and celebratory dishes prepared using time-honoured techniques.
CELEBRATING ACROSS THE CITY
Dubai’s Chinese New Year dining programme extends across the city’s most beloved restaurants and hotels. China Tang at The Lana Promenade, Dorchester Collection welcomes guests from 16 to 22 February with an exclusive menu rooted in tradition and symbolism, with each dish designed to convey wishes of prosperity, harmony, and good fortune.
Palazzo Versace Dubai presents Chinese New Year celebrations from 15 to 20 February across Mosaico and Giardino, with Chinese-themed high tea experiences and dinner buffets. Anwā at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa marks the occasion from 17 February to 3 March with a refined set menu priced at AED 888 per couple, complemented by fire-inspired beverages.
TATTU Dubai celebrates the Year of the Horse from 17 February to 3 March across TATTU Restaurant and TATTU Sky Lounge, set high above Dubai Marina and Bluewaters. The celebration features a limited-edition sharing menu with modern Asian cuisine, including dim sum, seafood plates, and signature mains. Guests can also enjoy a signature beverage served in a glass horse, as well as a theatrical dessert finished with a bespoke chocolate print inspired by the Year of the Horse.
Hutong in DIFC welcomes guests on 17 February with an elegant dining experience inspired by tradition and modern Northern Chinese cuisine. Guests enjoy symbolic dishes representing prosperity, abundance, and good fortune for the year ahead, enhanced with traditional Chinese entertainment creating a vibrant and immersive atmosphere in Hutong’s iconic DIFC setting.
MiMi Mei Fair celebrates until 4 March with a specially crafted four-course sharing menu (AED 478 per person) designed to honour Lunar New Year dining traditions while embracing contemporary elegance. At the heart of the experience is MiMi Mei Fair’s signature wishing tree installation, positioned at the restaurant entrance and reimagined as a poetic expression of rhythm and harmony, inviting guests to pause, set intentions, and welcome the new year in a meaningful way.
Additional venues celebrating the season include Asia Republic at Atlantis, The Palm with à la carte dining and seasonal specials from 16 February to 3 March. Feast Restaurant at Grand Plaza Mövenpick Media City Dubai offers a bountiful international spread with live cooking stations, Szechuan Chicken, Dim Sum, and traditional Yee Sang salad, while BYTES Restaurant features a festive menu from 13 to 22 February with dim sum platters, braised short ribs, and crispy seabass.
Blume at Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue offers “The Silk Road: An Asian-Inspired Journey” from 13 to 22 February with Asian-style dishes, sushi, and raw bar selections, with a 15% discount. Cargo Dubai at Pier 7 showcases set menus with Marina views, Accents Restaurant at InterContinental Dubai Marina hosts “Wok & Roll Wednesday” Asian nights every Wednesday from 4 to 18 February.
XVA Gallery hosts a Lunar New Year Supper Club on 22 February with a 10-course celebratory dinner, preceded by a complimentary artist talk at 6pm by Dr. Thomas Stollar exploring Chinese ceramic history, material traditions, and modes of making in Jingdezhen, reflecting on how culture has shaped ceramic practice in China through both historical continuities and contemporary approaches.
