    Gymkhana Has Landed in Dubai

London’s two-Michelin-starred Indian restaurant Gymkhana has officially opened in Dubai, taking up residence in Gate Village, Building 7, DIFC. The restaurant will serve dinner nightly from 6:30 PM to 1:00 AM.

Gymkhana brings its acclaimed take on Indian cuisine to the city, drawing on culinary traditions from across India and built around bold, layered flavours. The menu is organised into five sections — Nashta, Kebabs & Tikkas, Game & Chops, Curry & Biryani, and Sabzi — and includes signature dishes such as Kid Goat Methi Keema & Salli, Tandoori Masala Lamb Chops with Walnut Chutney, and Chicken Butter Masala.

Alongside these staples, the Dubai menu introduces a set of dishes created exclusively for the new location: Jackfruit Ghee Roast, Makhmali King Crab & Malai Pyaaz, Imli Black Cod with Peanut Chutney, Wagyu Beef Sukka with Bone Marrow, Malvani Sea Bream, and Goat Shank Nihari.

    A Familiar Design Language, Reimagined

The Dubai space spans two floors plus a terrace, designed by Samuel Hosker of North End Design in collaboration with Karam Sethi. The team has taken the design language of the Mayfair original and adapted it for its new home, swapping in warmer timbers and softer green tones for a lighter, brighter finish — while keeping the elegance that defines the London flagship intact.

    From Mayfair to the World

Gymkhana was founded in London’s Mayfair in 2013 by siblings Jyotin, Karam, and Sunaina Sethi of JKS Restaurants. The name nods to the elite social and sporting clubs of India — spaces where high society once gathered to eat, drink, and celebrate together. The restaurant earned its first Michelin star within nine months of opening, and a second followed a decade later in 2024, cementing its reputation as one of the definitive names in modern Indian dining.

    The Details
