Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel Dubai has reopened Tenggara, its Southeast Asian restaurant, after a full renovation. The reopening marks a new phase for the venue, which has long been part of the hotel’s dining offering.
The refurbishment, which began in August 2025, introduces updated interiors and a revised dining experience. The redesign reflects Southeast Asian heritage while using a modern layout that supports comfort and ease of dining.
The interior draws from Peranakan culture, which blends Chinese and Malay traditions. Peranakan tile patterns feature across floors and wall details in muted tones. Glass partitions keep the space open while creating smaller dining areas. Natural finishes, leaf-inspired elements and gold accents add warmth, while an off-white feature wall with dried florals provides a visual anchor. Soft lighting inspired by the moon and stars shapes the mood, supported by a colour palette of beige, green and gold. Seating is arranged to suit longer meals.
The reopening also brings an expanded à la carte menu that reflects regional cooking from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Hong Kong. Guests can order returning dishes such as Laksa Lemak, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Nasi Lemak Ayam Rendang, Peking Duck and a range of dim sum. New dishes add further regional depth while keeping traditional flavours at the centre. The drinks list now includes Asian refreshments, teas, mocktails and cocktails inspired by regional ingredients.
Commenting on the reopening, Mr. Michael Chan, General Manager at Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel Dubai, said:
“Tenggara’s transformation reflects our commitment to evolving with our guests while staying true to the soul of what makes the restaurant special. We wanted to create a space that feels familiar yet revitalised. A place where diners can reconnect with the flavours they love whilst discovering exciting new dishes. It represents our belief that innovation and consistency can beautifully co-exist.”
During the renovation, Tenggara continued serving guests through other outlets in the hotel. This approach supported regular diners and maintained the restaurant’s presence within the property.
With the venue now open again, guests can return to a setting that retains its identity while offering a refreshed environment. Tenggara welcomes diners for quiet meals, group gatherings and explorations of Southeast Asian cuisine in the centre of Dubai.
