Dubai has become one of the most popular winter destinations, and its beach club scene continues to grow each year. On a recent visit in late November, a full week was spent exploring one beach club per day. With prices rising and choices expanding, this guide highlights five well-known beach clubs and assesses whether they are worth the time and cost.
Drift Beach
Drift Beach stood out as the strongest experience overall. The venue is visually striking from the entrance through to the pool and surrounding areas. Service is consistent, with staff easy to reach throughout the day. Facilities are well maintained, with clean toilets, multiple showers, lockers, and a comfortable changing area equipped with mirrors, hair dryers, and power sockets.
Sunset is a key moment at Drift Beach. The sun sets directly over the sea, casting light across Dubai Marina’s skyline. The setting makes the venue popular for photography.
Sun loungers cost AED 150 per person on weekdays and AED 200 on weekends, including water. Advance booking is recommended, especially for weekends. Drift also runs promotions such as Chic Wednesdays and a reduced-rate Ladies Day.
Summersalt
Summersalt, located at Jumeirah Al Naseem, closely rivals Drift Beach. The main draw is its location opposite the Burj Al Arab, combined with very comfortable loungers that include full-size pillows. Most seating is on the beach, with some poolside options.
Service and food quality remain strong, with complimentary snacks offered during the day. Facilities are limited, with only two toilets and showers, though this did not cause issues during the visit.
Day passes start at AED 500 per person, with a higher-priced option offering food and drink credit. A wellness pass is available midweek. Guests should allow time to walk through the hotel grounds or use the buggy service.
White Beach
White Beach sits within the Atlantis resort and features two large pools with a boho-style design. Views of Atlantis The Palm are a highlight. Service is efficient, but music levels can be high, particularly during Ladies Day events, which may not suit guests seeking a calm setting.
Sunset views are indirect but still appealing as the sky changes colour. Loungers range from AED 200 to AED 250 per person, non-redeemable. Ladies Day offers unlimited selected drinks during set hours. Booking ahead is advised.
Kyma Beach
Kyma Beach is located on Palm West Beach and offers a quieter, more relaxed experience. The design uses neutral tones, and the menu focuses on Greek cuisine. The atmosphere suits guests looking for a calm day with light house music.
Lounger prices match White Beach at AED 200 on weekdays and AED 250 on weekends. No regular event promotions are listed. Walk-ins may be possible, but reservations reduce the risk of waiting.
Barasti Beach
Barasti Beach was the weakest experience of the group. While the venue is large, service levels were inconsistent, with guests collecting towels and ordering food themselves during events. The atmosphere felt unsettled, with party elements that did not fully land.
Barasti runs frequent promotions, including weekend drink packages and weekday Ladies Days at lower prices. Guests should check event schedules before visiting, as experiences vary by day.
When to visit Dubai
Late November offers comfortable daytime temperatures between 27 and 30°C, with cooler evenings. December through February can feel cool for beach use. Summer months are not recommended due to extreme heat.
Where to stay
Most beach clubs in this guide are located on or near Palm Jumeirah. Palm West Beach offers a walkable promenade with dining, hotels, and beach access. Staying nearby reduces travel time.
An alternative option is Downtown Dubai, which provides access to Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa views. Traffic can be heavy during peak hours, so choosing accommodation close to planned activities helps reduce travel delays.
This guide aims to support informed choices for visitors planning a beach-focused stay in Dubai, balancing experience, cost, and comfort.
