Arabian Center is hosting a Ramadan Souk at the mall until 19 March 2026. The activation takes over a dedicated wing of the mall, turning it into a market-style space built around the values of togetherness, generosity, and tradition that mark the Holy Month.
The space draws on the look and feel of a traditional Arabian souk, with market-style stalls, artisan displays, and hands-on cultural activities. The décor uses warm lighting and heritage-inspired design to create a setting where families and friends can come together. The Ramadan Souk is designed to connect different generations by offering experiences that reflect the past and engage today’s community.
A daily programme runs at Entrance B from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Visitors can try henna painting, watch Arabic calligraphy, and take part in workshops covering charm bracelet making, lantern colouring, and pottery. In the pottery sessions, guests learn basic techniques and leave with a handcrafted clay pot.
A candle-dipping station lets visitors colour crescent moon and star-shaped Ramadan candles in a range of shades. A Potpourri Blending Station gives guests the chance to mix their own scent using dried flowers, cinnamon, dried oranges, and other aromatic ingredients.
A Dates and Flavoured Gahwa Station is open daily from Iftar until 10:00 PM as a nod to Arabic hospitality. Each weekend, a live Oud player performs after Iftar until 10:00 PM. Storytelling sessions run every weekend from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM at two-hour intervals, covering regional folklore and traditional tales for all ages.
“Ramadan is a time that brings communities closer through shared traditions and heartfelt moments,” said Wesam Aldora, General Manager. “With our Ramadan Souk, we have created a warm and welcoming space that reflects the true spirit of the Holy Month. We invite shoppers to visit with their families and celebrate heritage, craftsmanship, and togetherness through experiences that are both authentic and memorable.”
Arabian Center has partnered with Emirates Red Crescent to place a donation box at the mall. Visitors can drop off new or gently used clothes, toys, and essential items, which will go to families in need. The partnership reflects the mall’s focus on community support during the Holy Month.
The Ramadan Souk sits alongside Arabian Center’s retail and dining offer as part of the mall’s wider effort to build meaningful cultural programming for its community throughout the year.
