The homegrown UAE brand launches in Egypt through a partnership with El Sayyad Group.

Rove Sheikh Zayed City will be located on the Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road, with access to Downtown Cairo, the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Great Pyramids of Giza, and Alexandria.

The Egypt project follows recent announcements for new hotels in Saudi Arabia and Oman.

Rove Hotels, the UAE-born contemporary lifestyle brand and a joint venture between Emaar Properties and Dubai Holding, has signed an agreement for Rove Sheikh Zayed City in partnership with El Sayyad Group.

El Sayyad Group’s hotels investment subsidiary, El Sayyad for Hotels & Resorts, will execute the agreement. The project brings Rove’s combination of design, connectivity, and value to Greater Cairo.

    A Strategic Foothold in Cairo

The property targets modern travellers in Greater Cairo. Construction starts in the second half of this year.

Rove Sheikh Zayed City will include:

    • 240 rooms designed with Rove’s signature style and comfort.
    • Strategic Connectivity: The hotel is located in Sheikh Zayed City, 15 minutes from the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Great Pyramids of Giza. Its position on the Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road provides access to Downtown Cairo and Alexandria.
    • Business & Travel Hub: The site sits near Smart Village, one of Egypt’s largest business districts, and 15 minutes from Sphinx International Airport.
    • Lifestyle Amenities: Features include all-day dining at The Daily, a pool, a gym, and co-working spaces.

    Driving Regional Momentum

The Egypt project follows Rove’s recent announcements for its first hotels in Saudi Arabia and Oman, marking the brand’s regional expansion. The brand enters the Egyptian market with a lifestyle-driven hospitality offer in a culturally significant city.

“Bringing Rove to Cairo is an exciting step forward that opens the door to a new audience in a city rich with culture and energy,” says Paul Bridger, Chief Operating Officer at Rove Hotels. “Our expansion into Egypt is a natural evolution for the brand as we continue to grow our presence across the region, always with the clear vision of providing high-quality, lifestyle-driven accommodation to the new generation of global travellers.”

Khaled El Sayyad, CEO at El Sayyad Group, added: “The hospitality landscape in Egypt is shifting toward fuss-free, well-designed experiences that prioritise social connectivity and local culture. Our partnership with Rove Hotels is a strategic move to address this gap by introducing a proven, disruptive regional brand to the Egyptian market for the first time.

By combining El Sayyad Group’s deep-rooted local market insight with Rove’s global lifestyle appeal, we are creating a unique value proposition that blends world-class connectivity with authentic local culture.”
