The H Dubai is extending its celebration of Book Lovers Day into a week-long Book Week activation at The Gallery, running from now until August 14th. A relaxed gathering point for readers and curious minds, this unique event includes a community book swap, a curated display of The H Dubai’s antique book collection, and a specially priced Afternoon Tea, creating an inviting space to slow down, discover new stories, and connect over a shared love of books.
Following Book Lovers Day on August 9th, The H Dubai is keeping the celebration going throughout the week, as The Gallery has been transformed into a welcoming setting where guests can browse books, exchange recommendations, settle in with an afternoon tea, and discover something new to read.
At the heart of the week is a community book swap, where guests can bring along a pre-loved book and exchange it for another title from the collection of donated books. Guests can also donate books they have already enjoyed, helping to give well-loved stories a new home and allowing others to discover a title they may not have picked up otherwise.
Adding to the experience, The Gallery will feature a curated display of The H Dubai’s antique book collection throughout Book Week. Guests can browse the selection at their leisure, discovering books that offer a glimpse into the hotel’s own collection while enjoying the atmosphere of The Gallery. Together with the community book swap, the display creates a space where old favourites, new discoveries, and shared recommendations combine in perfect harmony.
Book Week Afternoon Tea
The Gallery will complement the week-long celebration with a specially curated Afternoon Tea, where an assortment of savoury bites, delicate pastries, and sweet treats awaits, all while surrounded by books. Ideal for leisurely afternoons, the experience pairs a selection of sweet and savoury favourites with fine tea, making it an ideal setting to catch up with friends, browse the book collection, or simply settle in with a good read.
