If you are hosting an iftar or suhoor at home, the usual spread of dates, qatayef or baklava covers the basics. For something more considered, this collaboration is worth a look.
Yamanote Atelier has partnered with Kiri and Emirati chef Faisal Al Harmoodi to produce a limited-edition Ramadan box. The project brings together Yamanote’s Japanese baking background, Kiri’s cream cheese, and chef Faisal’s grounding in local flavours.
Each sharing box contains 36 sweet or savoury bites. Kiri cream cheese features across the range, used in pastry fillings and whipped preparations throughout.
The sweet box is built around post-iftar desserts with a local character. It includes mini luqaimat with Kiri cream, pistachio kunafa Kiri cheesecake, and Kiri karak tea mousse. Yamanote’s baking brings a light, precise texture to each piece, while chef Faisal draws on ingredients and flavour combinations familiar to Gulf households.
The savoury box takes a different direction. It features Kiri hibiscus with fresh fig, beef brisket with Kiri, and a Kiri croque monsieur. The range is creamy, textured and well-seasoned.
Yamanote Atelier was founded in the UAE in 2013 as a Japanese bakery and café. It has since grown across the country, with a reputation built on freshly baked breads and desserts made using imported Japanese ingredients. Kiri, produced from 100 per cent fresh cream and milk, is a familiar product in regional kitchens and works across both sweet and savoury applications. Chef Faisal Al Harmoodi holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand for his restaurant Ryba. He also runs the Emirati bakery Sidra and has a further Emirati restaurant, Falwa, in development.
The boxes are available to order by calling 052 127 5210. Available throughout Ramadan 2025 at Yamanote Atelier locations across the UAE. yamanoteatelier.com
