Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts has set out festive programmes for three of its Maldives resorts, Atmosphere Kanifushi, VARU by Atmosphere and RAAYA by Atmosphere, running from late December 2026 to 7 January 2027. The group announced the plans on 17 October, and each island has its own theme.
Atmosphere Kanifushi: Kanifushi Odyssey
From 21 December 2026 to 7 January 2027, Kanifushi Odyssey is a run of themed island celebrations. Guests can join Pirates Under the Stars, welcome Santa by the sea on Christmas Eve and spend Christmas Day at Christmas in Neon Tides. The Spirit of Kanifushi celebrates the island’s culture, alongside themed dinners called Kanifushi Trattoria and World Kitchen. The programme ends with The Crown of Midnight, a New Year’s Eve gala.
RAAYA by Atmosphere: Wonka Winter Wonderland
RAAYA’s Wonka Winter Wonderland runs from 23 December 2026 to 7 January 2027, with chocolate-inspired experiences, creative activities and celebrations for all ages. Highlights include the Wonka Winterland Glow-in-the-Dark Party, a Christmas morning with chocolate carving and Santa’s arrival, and a traditional Maldivian dinner accompanied by Bodu Beru. On New Year’s Eve the island becomes a Masquerade celebration with dining and entertainment.
VARU by Atmosphere: Colour of Lights
At VARU, the programme runs from 22 December 2026 to 7 January 2027 under the name Colour of Lights, A Luminous Island Journey. Guests can try Maldivian high tea and treats from live sweets stations, watch festive cinema under the stars and join the VARU team for Christmas carols, leading into the Festive Christmas Eve Gala.
What is included
Beyond the main events, most activities on the three festive calendars are included in the resorts’ Holiday Plan, covering wellness, marine exploration, creative workshops, family activities, food experiences and evenings under the Maldivian sky. The release gives no prices for stays or for the gala evenings, and the full calendars are on each resort’s website.
