Trump International Golf Club Dubai has announced its festive programme at DAMAC Hills, running from 29 November to 31 December. It includes a Christmas Village on three December weekends, a Santa’s Grotto, wreath-making workshops, a Christmas Day brunch and a Motown-themed New Year’s Eve with fireworks at midnight. Golin MENA, the club’s PR agency, sent the details on 29 October.
Christmas Village and Santa’s Grotto
The Christmas Village opens on 4 to 6, 11 to 13 and 18 to 20 December, from 2pm to 10pm. Wooden huts under festoon lights sell seasonal food, drinks, gifts and local crafts, with live music, roaming characters and family entertainment through the afternoon and evening.
Children can buy a Passport to Christmas for AED 100 and collect stamps at stops including the North Pole Café, the Reindeer Food Factory, Santa’s Post Office, the Elf Workshop and Elf Training Camp, plus a Christmas treasure hunt. Santa’s Grotto runs on the same weekends from 2:30pm to 6:30pm at AED 75 a child, with a gift to take home. Time slots must be booked and paid for in advance.
Wreaths, takeaway and Christmas Day
Two wreath-making workshops cost AED 395 a person, materials included. The daytime session on Sunday 29 November, 10am to noon, makes a wool wreath with felt details and includes tea, coffee and a festive treat. The evening session on Wednesday 2 December, 7:30pm to 9:30pm, uses pine, dried oranges, cinnamon sticks, wool and felt, with a glass of Prosecco or a festive mocktail.
For Christmas at home, the club will roast turkey or honey-roast ham with trimmings for collection on 24 and 25 December; orders must be booked in advance and the release gives no price. Christmas Day brunch on Friday 25 December, 1pm to 4:30pm, has a buffet, live stations, live music, a Christmas choir and a children’s corner. It costs AED 895, AED 795 for members, AED 395 for children aged 5 to 11, and children under five eat free.
Midnight in Motown
On Thursday 31 December, 7:30pm to 1:30am, Midnight in Motown brings live entertainment from The Exclusives, dancing and a fireworks display at midnight. Tickets are AED 1,200, AED 1,100 for members and AED 395 for children aged 5 to 11, with under-fives free. A VIP cabana for up to 12 people costs AED 18,000 with a dedicated host and four bottles of Champagne. The dress code is dress to impress.
