Sagra and From Noora’s Majlis Serve an Emirati Italian Menu for UAE Flag Day From 3 November

Sagra Italian Pastificio, the 16-seat pasta lab and micro-restaurant in Jumeirah 3, is teaming up with Emirati chef Noora Alawadi, founder of the sauce and condiment brand From Noora’s Majlis, on a limited-edition menu for UAE Flag Day. Called Yado Meets Nonna, it launches on 3 November and runs until 17 November.

The menu puts Sagra’s handmade pasta, Italian street food and tiramisù together with the spices, condiments and Gulf flavours of Noora’s handcrafted sauces. The collaborators developed the three dishes with Sagra’s head chef.

The three dishes

  • Khaleeji Arancino: a crisp saffron rice arancino filled with a slow-cooked Genovese ragù of pulled beef and onions, served with From Noora’s Majlis Dubai Spicy Tang and glazed with hot honey. The sauce brings chilli warmth and the citrus notes of loomi, or dried black lime.
  • Flag Day Ravioli: Sagra’s handmade ravioloni in the four colours of the UAE flag, red, green, white and black, filled with potatoes and Dubai Spicy Tang and finished with butter, mint, fried shallots and drops of Noora’s Mabooch chilli oil, inspired by the tangy Gulf condiment.
  • Baba Zayed Gahwa Tiramisù: a tiramisù inspired by traditional Emirati gahwa and a coffee recipe of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Founding Father.

The menu prices the Khaleeji Arancino at AED 30, the Flag Day Ravioli at AED 70 and the tiramisù at AED 40. There is also a Yuzu Mai Ward, a yuzu and rose water tonic, at AED 25. The full tasting menu, Yado and Nonna’s Story, is AED 140 per person for the three courses and a mocktail, with filtered water included.

“In Italy, everything happens around the table, and I see that same warmth and generosity in Emirati culture,” said Federica Ranieri, Sagra’s founder and owner. Noora Alawadi said: “Out of all the dish creations and collaborations this was by far my favorite.”

Sagra was founded in Dubai in 2024 and is featured on 50 Best Discovery 2026. It is open from noon to 11pm. The restaurant is small, so a reservation is needed, and there is RTA parking.
