Envelop, an experience design studio founded in Jaipur, India, by Jai Sharma, has announced its entry into the UAE under the name Envelop Designs Arabia. Its Dubai office is in the High Bay Building in Dubai Silicon Oasis, and the UAE becomes its next home alongside the founding studio in Jaipur.
The studio designs social celebrations, public IPs and festivals, brand experiences, real estate launches and ritual design. Its approach starts from how a space should make guests feel rather than how it should look, treating psychology, pacing and emotion as materials of design alongside light, sound and space.
“We didn’t come to the UAE because it was the obvious next step. We came because I believe this region understands what it means to design a moment rather than just produce an event,” Sharma said.
The Emirates Palace wedding
Its first major statement in the region came in February 2026 at Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi, where it designed the wedding celebration of Dhruv Khatoria and Shalina Jhalani. The design extended the couple’s proposal at Villa del Balbianello on Lake Como, translating gardens, arches and Italian grandeur into the setting. At its centre stood the Carousel Symphony, a wrought-iron installation inspired by traditional Italian gates, layered with florals and set to a live Italian symphony. Javed Ali performed.
A selective studio
Envelop’s past work includes experiences for Taj Hotels and Rambagh Palace, among them the Jaipur Literature Festival’s opening dinner, as well as Fairmont Udaipur, Ananta Hotels & Resorts and Sofitel, with Emaar named as its UAE presence grows. It takes on no more than seven to eight social projects a year, which the release says typically range from AED 8.8 million to AED 22 million. The studio says it has curated more than 200 experiences in more than eight countries.
Sharma said the studio is now focused on luxury social events and brand experience design, and is already in conversations about potential pitches with the city’s real estate sector. The release names Rayqube as a partner in the UAE but does not describe its role.
